Private prosecution is a special criminal proceeding which is initiated by a party either an individual or a private organization instead of the Republic. Private prosecutions are often initiated for cases such as fraud by false representation or by failing to disclose information and uncovered cheque. In such procedures, besides the defence of the accused, we undertake and handle cases in which the client wishes to file a criminal case against another person or legal entity.
The Firm’s objective is to represent our Clients to any special criminal procedures as well as to safeguard the rights of the victim and to promote cases (where it is permitted), which are not forwarded by the Cyprus Police and the Attorney General.
